The son of Alice and Thomas Hill, Albert was born in Wolverhampton in 1898. They were living at 84 Duke Street, Wolverhampton in 1901, and Albert and his parents were living with his siblings William, Elizabeth, Thomas J., Percy J., Alice, Edith, Nellie, Ethel and Doris. They were at 11 Westbury Street, Wolverhampton, by 1911, with additional siblings Bertha, Henry and Winifred.
Albert enlisted in the 3rd Battalion of the Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby) Regiment (service number (94462). He died in the War Hospital in Sunderland on 25 November 1918. He is buried in Wolverhampton Borough Cemetery.
