Harry was born in Wolverhampton on 1 November 1877, the son of Sarah Emma and Charles Henry Cousins. By 1901, they were living at 179 Tettenhall Road, Wolverhampton, together with Harry’s sister, Annie R. Harry was working as a clerk for Wolverhampton Corporation. In 1903, Harry married Emily Gertrude Trusselle in Wolverhampton, and by 1911 they were living at 37 Dunkley Street, Wolverhampton, with their son, Harry Charles. Harry was working as a Team Foreman for Wolverhampton Borough Council. The couple had two daughters – Jessie G. (1912) and Doris M. (1917).
Harry does not appear to have done any military service during the First World War. However, he did serve locally as a Special Constable for Wolverhampton Council. By 1939 they were living at 66 Alexandra Road, Wolverhampton, with Doris. Harry died in Wolverhampton in 1953.
