Christopher was born in Wolverhampton in 1893, the son of James and Constance Warner. They were at 20 Hughes Street, Wolverhampton, in 1901, together with Christopher’s brothers George, James, William and Charles, and sister Mary. In 1911 he was living with his brother, William, and his family, at 22 Clarendon Street, Wolverhampton. Christopher was a Grocer’s Assistant. He married Sarah Preston in 1915, and they went on to have three children between 1916 and 1921 – Christopher, Olive M. and Albert F.
Christopher joined the South Staffordshire Regiment (number 23852) and later the Norfolk Regiment (number 40533). With the latter, his name was listed in the Express & Star on 12 May 1917 amongst the wounded, but he recovered from his wounds. Christopher died in Wolverhampton in 1964 at the age of 71.
