The son of Alfred R. and Elizabeth W. Bebb, Alfred was born in Wolverhampton on 30 March 1890. By 1901 they were living at 56 Sherwood Street, Wolverhampton, along with Alfred’s sisters, Edith P. E., Nellie V. and Bessie. They were living at Altemond, 126 Dunstall Road, Wolverhampton, by 1911, and Alfred had become an apprentice fitter and turner for a nut and bolt works.
Alfred does not appear to have done any military service during the First World War, but served, instead, as a special constable for Wolverhampton Council. In 1916, he married Louise M. Johnson in Wolverhampton. By 1939, he was living with his wife in Willenhall and working as an engineering signal and brass tool gauge maker. Alfred died at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton on 5 April 1958. The value of his effects was £1084.
