Ada was born Ada Holloway in Wolverhampton on 31 August 1885, the daughter of James and Ada Holloway. They were living at 132 Coleman Street, Wolverhampton, in 1901. In 1906 she married Horace Carver, and by 1911 they were living at 47 Milton Road, Heath Town, Wolverhampton, with their baby son, Harold Raymond.

From 11 March 1918 until 1 February 1919, Ada served part-time in the British Red Cross workrooms at Gresham Chambers. Her address by then was Hilbie, Prestwood Road, Wolverhampton.

Ada died on 29 March 1962 at 323 Wolverhampton Road, Heath Town. By this date her address was 129 Coleman Street, Whitmore Reans. The value of her effects was £3591 5s. 1d.
