The daughter of the Reverend George and Louisa Body, Una was born in Wolverhampton in 1870. As her father was a rector, the family moved around a great deal, being in Kirby, Yorkshire, in 1881, and in Durham in 1891. By 1901, Una was working as a nurse and living with her brother, George, (also a clergyman), at Worsley in Lancashire. She was still working as a nurse in 1911, in the household of Anne Caroline Swan in Lincoln.
By June 1915, she was back in Wolverhampton, at Boswell, Albert Road. As a trained nurse she was able to work for the British Red Cross Serbian Relief department, until February 1916.
Una never married. She died on 31 August 1959 at St Clements Nursing Home in Norwich. The value of her effects was £2235 13s. 10d.
