Henry was born in Wolverhampton in 1884, the son of Thomas and Margaret Andrews. In 1901 he was living at 7 Primrose Street, Portobello, Wolverhampton, with his parents and sister, Alice. Henry married Florence Bayliss in Wolverhampton in 1907, and by 1911 they were living at 22 High Street, Portobello, with their son, Reginald Henry. Henry was a Prudential Assurance Agent.
Henry enlisted as a Gunner in the Royal Garrison Artillery (service number 97978), and later served with the Army Ordnance Corps (number 051088). He survived the war, but is listed on the war memorial of Portobello. Henry died in Stoke on Trent on 22 December 1978.
