Doris was born in Wolverhampton on 9 October 1893, the daughter of John T. and Susannah W. H. Mulliner. In 1901, they were living at 13 St Jude’s Road, Wolverhampton, along with Doris’s siblings William A., Ann A. and Bertram. By 1911, they were at 251 Tettenhall Road, Wolverhampton.
During the First World War, Doris served as a special police woman. She does not appear to have ever married.
By 1939, she was living with her mother at 36 St Jude’s Road, and her occupation was given as “unpaid domestic duties”. Doris died on 30 April 1974, by which date her address was Muchall Grove Residential Home, Muchall. The value of her effects was £2250.
