Louis was born in Wolverhampton in 1882, the son of William Joseph and Frances Davies. The family were at 94 Great Bridge Road, Bilston. In 1911, he was living at Bradley, Bilston, together with his widowed father, brothers Francis William and Cyril, sister Gladys Imelda Davies, and nieces Frances and Agnes Johnson. Louis was a clerk for a steel works.
Louis served during the First World War, but I have been unable to confirm details of his military service. His name appears on the Penn Road war memorial. He survived the war, and married Amelia Pirie or Rutherford (according to her entry in the GRO index) in Wolverhampton in 1927. The couple do not appear to have had any children, and he died in Wolverhampton in 1957.
