Carmen, Margaret and her parents were living at the same address in 1911. Carmen had become a University student, studying Science.

Carmen served as a Special Police Woman for Wolverhampton Council during the First World War., although she was still living in Handsworth by 1939, so it is unclear whether she ever moved to Wolverhampton.
