Edwin was born in Wolverhampton in 1870, the son of Edwin and Clara Lloyd. In 1891, he was lodging at the home of William Britton in Radford, Nottingham. Edwin was a joiner. He married Louisa Brind in Wolverhampton in 1893, and in 1901 they were living at 46 Green Lane. Edwin was listed as a carpenter.
Edwin’s name is listed on the Roll of Honour of the Weldless Steel Tube Company Ltd, so he must have worked for them at some point. I have not been able to confirm further details of Edwin’s life, including his military service, but as he does not have a gold cross by his name, we can assume that he survived the war.
