William Pearson was born in Wolverhampton in 1894, the son of Richard and Sarah Pearson. In 1901 they were living at 94 St Peter’s Square, together with William’s brothers Fredrick and Sidney, and sisters Ada and Florence E.

William enlisted in the South Staffordshire Regiment (number 2918), but by 15 September 1916 he was listed in the Express & Star among the wounded. However, he appears to have survived the war. He married a Beatrice A. Geens in 1921. I have not been able to find confirmation of his death record.
