On the British red cross website there is an entry for a Mr Arthur Adey. His Record Card, has this information:

The 1911 Census has one Arthur Henry Adey living at number 71 Sunderland Place, Wolverhampton, with the Occupation of General Labourer Edge Tool Maker, worker, age 26, born at Fordhouses Bushbury near Wolverhampton, with his wife Ruth, age 26, and daughter, Winifred Mary, age 5 months, both born at Wolverhampton, also with Daniel Wainwright, age 37, single, cousin, Agent for Insurance Company, worker, also born at Wolverhampton.

Arthur Henry Adey appears in the “Smith Lidiard Adey Wainwright” Family Tree on the Ancestry website, with the information that he was born 5th August 1884, was married 26th April 1909 to Ruth nee Wainwright at Wolverhampton, that his parents were William Adey, and Charlotte Ann Bush, and that he died 22th April 1974 at Wolverhampton.

The birth of an Arthur Henry Adey was registered at Cannock in the quarter ended September 1884. His marriage to Ruth Wainwright was registered at Wolverhampton in the quarter ended June 1909.

The 1891 census has Arthur Henry, age 6, scholar, living at Fordhouses, Avon Cottage, Stafford Road, with his parents William age 39 born at Brewood, occupation Stoker L&NW Railway, and Charlotte, age 38, born at Birmingham, and his 5 siblings John William, age 18, occupation engine cleaner, Ellen Gertrude, age 11, scholar, Charlotte Lillian, age 9, scholar, Ruth Elizabeth age 3 scholar, and Edith Annie, age 2, all born at Bushbury.

By the time of the 1901 Census Arthur H Adey was 16 years old, working as a Gardener, and living at Willenhall Road Wolverhampton, with his step-father, William Matthews, age 55, Occupation Gardener at Public Park, and his mother C A Matthews age 49, working at home as a Laundress, and his sisters EG Adey Step daughter age 21, Washhouse woman, C L Adey, age 19 Tailoress and Edith A Adey age 12, at school.

The death of Arthur Henry Adey born 5th August 1884, at age 89, was registered at Wolverhampton in the quarter ended June 1974.
